I suddenly had a strong craving for tofu pudding (douhua).
It all started after trying an amazing version at a Taiwanese restaurant in Nihonbashi.
So I decided to explore more—and ended up at Taipei Sabo in Fuchu.

The menu here is surprisingly extensive.
There are around six different types of douhua, and with all the topping options, it feels almost endless.
At my age, the idea of “endless possibilities” feels a bit nostalgic…
but here, it’s very real.

While staring at the menu for too long, it somehow started to look like an acai bowl.
And without thinking too much, I went with a safe choice—adding shiratama dumplings.
Then the dessert arrived.

Wait… this feels more like tapioca than I expected.
Almost like eating tapioca as a meal.
The brown sugar syrup really hits the spot when you’re tired.
It’s not quite like the one I had before, but still very enjoyable.
There’s also quite a lot of red bean paste inside, which adds to the texture.
The seating area is spacious, so it’s easy to relax, especially on weekdays.
