Features: High-quality sushi with great value, known for long lines
If you’re looking for sushi in Tokyo that balances quality and price, one place that consistently stands out is Nemuro Hanamaru inside KITTE Marunouchi.

On this visit, I arrived on a rainy weekday. Normally, Marunouchi is a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms during spring, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate this time.
Still, I had one goal: finally try this place.
I had passed by long lines in Ginza many times before, always thinking, “I’ll go someday.”
That day finally came.
The Wait (Yes, It’s Real)
Before entering, I already knew there would be a wait.
But still…
1 hour and 30 minutes.
On a weekday.
That alone tells you everything.
If you’re planning to visit on weekends, just assume it’s going to be intense.
The good part? You can explore nearby areas while waiting, which makes it manageable.
First Impression

Let me say it upfront:
This place is worth coming back to.
The line? Totally justified.
Price vs Quality (This Is the Key)
In Tokyo, you can find amazing sushi everywhere if money is not an issue.
But this place hits a very specific sweet spot:
👉 High quality + reasonable price
Plates here typically go up to around 500 yen.
And honestly, compared to other mid-range conveyor belt sushi chains…
This feels cheaper and tastes better.
Some sushi chains nowadays charge close to 1000 yen for a single tuna plate.
Here, you don’t feel that kind of pressure.
Instead, you feel like:
👉 “Wait… why is this better AND cheaper?”
The Taste

The sushi itself is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Not luxury-level like high-end omakase, but definitely well above standard conveyor belt sushi.
Especially considering the price, the value is exceptional.
A Personal Thought
I used to like certain regional sushi chains that expanded nationwide.
But as they grew, quality sometimes dropped.
That’s why I couldn’t help but think:
👉 “I hope Nemuro Hanamaru doesn’t go down that path.”
Right now, it still feels authentic and worth it.
Final Thoughts
This is one of those places where:
👉 The wait feels long
👉 But the experience makes sense afterward
If you’re visiting Tokyo and want:
- Good sushi
- Fair pricing
- A real local favorite
Then this place should definitely be on your list.
